View area pageWe are not a large national franchise. Seashore Fiberglass is a family business started and rooted in Ocean City, New Jersey. Founded in 2020, we brought over 10 years of hands-on fiberglass experience to the South Jersey Shore — the local choice for property owners who want fiberglass deck systems done correctly — not patched temporarily, but repaired and built to the engineering standards that actually prevent recurring failures in a coastal environment.

Francisco Ruiz founded Seashore Fiberglass after seeing the same preventable failures again and again: wall flashings that were too short or missing entirely, door thresholds without proper transition systems, railing posts installed without flashing, plywood fastened with nails only so the substrate loosens over time, and wooden drip edges that rot and let water reach the framing.
Our approach is different by design: dual-layer plywood substrates, verification of correct drainage slope, full-height wall and post flashings, PVC drip edges that will not rot, and fiberglass membranes installed to professional standards. We stay because homeowners on the Shore deserve contractors who treat every deck like it protects real living space underneath — because it does.

We stay focused on technical correctness, transparent communication, and consistent job-site professionalism.
Decisions are made here in Ocean City — not by a remote call center. You work directly with the people who spec and stand behind the work.
Proper New Jersey licensing plus liability and workers' compensation coverage, so your project is protected from day one.
We explain what is wrong, what your options are, and what we recommend — then you decide. No gimmicks, no scare tactics.
Pitch, flashings, door transitions, and membrane work are executed to documented standards — not "good enough" shortcuts that fail in salt air and humidity.
Daily cleanup, protection of your property, and professional crews who treat your home with respect.
Our system standards are designed for salt air, high humidity, intense UV, and freeze-thaw cycles seen across the South Jersey Shore.
Drainage pitch
1/4 inch per foot minimum to prevent standing water.
Substrate build
Substrate varies by project type: standard new construction = builder's 3/4″ subfloor + Seashore's 1/2″ ACX overlay; full deck rebuilds = new 3/4″ CDX + 1/2″ ACX; existing decks for reglass = existing plywood re-secured.
Wall flashing coverage
Minimum 12 inches up all required vertical transitions.
Post flashing coverage
Minimum 6 inches vertically around railing/post penetrations.
